The harvest is ready, but the Church has retreated behind its walls. Jesus painted a vivid picture when He said, "Look around, the fields are already ripe for harvest," and He wasn't talking about wheat—He was pointing at people. Broken, hurting souls searching for something real while we argue about coffee flavors in the church lobby.

This wake-up call challenges the comfortable Christianity that's forgotten its mission. The Great Commission wasn't a suggestion for missionaries and extroverts—it was a command for every believer. "How can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?" That someone is you. When the Holy Spirit fell in Acts 2, believers immediately went outside. Peter preached in the streets, not behind a pulpit, and 3,000 were saved in one day. The early church grew because followers of Jesus went out healing, helping, loving, and testifying "day after day, from house to house."

Most Christians have grown soft, wanting blessings without burden and revival that doesn't interrupt our Netflix schedule. But community outreach forces us to die to self like Jesus did. He left heaven's perfection to walk among our pain, while we make excuses for not knocking on a neighbor's door. This isn't just kindness—it's spiritual warfare that breaks chains when you bring light into darkness. You have a mouth to speak truth, hands to serve others, and a testimony to share. The hour is late, the harvest is waiting, and this isn't a pep talk—it's a call to repentance. Stop scrolling, stop overthinking, and do something this week. Knock on a door, feed someone hungry, volunteer at a shelter, or share your testimony. The church that goes out is the church that's truly on fire, and the gates of hell can't stop that.

00:00:00.882 --> 00:00:03.730
The world is changing and time is running out.

00:00:03.730 --> 00:00:12.390
This is Renewed Mindsets, where we confront Biblical truth head-on no sugarcoating, no compromise.

00:00:12.390 --> 00:00:28.669
We expose false doctrine, reveal fulfilled prophecy and shine light on the demonic deception of these last days, but we also stand firm on the hope of Christ's return, the call to holiness and the urgency of true salvation.

00:00:28.669 --> 00:00:34.432
It's time to renew your mind, for the time is now.

00:00:34.432 --> 00:00:37.101
Let's go, boys.

00:00:37.101 --> 00:00:50.316
Hey, welcome to Renewed Mindset.

00:00:50.316 --> 00:00:54.960
I'm Rick and I'm so glad you're here.

00:00:55.600 --> 00:00:58.823
There's a picture that Jesus painted that we've forgotten.

00:00:58.823 --> 00:01:03.746
He said look around, the fields are already ripe for harvest.

00:01:03.746 --> 00:01:05.808
That's John 4.35.

00:01:05.808 --> 00:01:10.870
He wasn't talking about grain, he wasn't pointing at wheat.

00:01:10.870 --> 00:01:18.435
He was pointing at people, broken, hurting, searching for something real.

00:01:18.435 --> 00:01:25.022
And Jesus was saying they're ready, are you?

00:01:25.022 --> 00:01:27.703
The church has become comfortable inside its walls.

00:01:27.703 --> 00:01:35.813
We built stages, gathered followings and fine-tuned sermons, but the hurting are still outside.

00:01:35.813 --> 00:01:46.045
The addicted are still out there the single mom, the ex-con, the rebel kid, the suicidal neighbor.

00:01:46.045 --> 00:01:50.084
And instead of reaching them, we're arguing about coffee flavors in the lobby.

00:01:50.084 --> 00:01:58.564
Now let me say this clearly If the church won't leave the building, then the fire of God will.

00:02:00.287 --> 00:02:15.332
This episode is about community outreach, not as a cute ministry idea, but as a biblical mandate in the last days, because if we don't carry the gospel outside of our comfort zone, we've missed the whole mission.

00:02:15.332 --> 00:02:21.550
We've got a lot to cover, so let's just start right here.

00:02:21.550 --> 00:02:24.990
The Great Commission we've all heard of it.

00:02:24.990 --> 00:02:31.872
It was not bring people to the church so that the pastor can preach to them, was it?

00:02:31.872 --> 00:02:36.131
Jesus said go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone.

00:02:36.131 --> 00:02:37.907
Mark 16, 15.

00:02:37.907 --> 00:02:50.524
That's not a suggestion, that's not for missionaries only, that's not for the extroverts, that's for us, the remnant, the redeemed, the called.

00:02:50.524 --> 00:02:56.294
We were not saved to sit, we're saved to serve.

00:02:56.294 --> 00:02:58.301
Now, here's the truth.

00:02:58.301 --> 00:03:07.986
Most of the world will never walk into your church, but they will walk into your life, into your workplace, into your gas station line.

00:03:07.986 --> 00:03:09.468
Romans 10.14 hits hard.

00:03:09.468 --> 00:03:23.002
How can they hear about him unless someone tells them that's someone, that's you.

00:03:23.002 --> 00:03:25.568
Let's get biblical for a second.

00:03:26.850 --> 00:03:37.090
In Acts, chapter 2, when the Holy Spirit fell, it didn't fall in the temple, it fell in a house and they immediately went outside.

00:03:37.090 --> 00:03:46.609
Peter didn't preach behind a pulpit, he preached in the street and 3,000 people were saved in a single day.

00:03:46.609 --> 00:03:53.282
The early church didn't grow through advertising or attractional models.

00:03:53.282 --> 00:04:00.700
They grew because believers went out healing, helping, loving and testifying.

00:04:00.700 --> 00:04:10.560
Acts, chapter 5, verse 42, says Day after day, in the temple and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news.

00:04:10.560 --> 00:04:19.059
Notice that, from house to house, not just in the sanctuary, not just at events.

00:04:20.161 --> 00:04:24.545
We're supposed to be mobile, not waiting, but going.

00:04:24.545 --> 00:04:26.187
Now listen to this.

00:04:26.187 --> 00:04:29.610
Most Christians have gotten soft.

00:04:29.610 --> 00:04:32.399
That's not real surprising, is it?

00:04:32.399 --> 00:04:34.865
We want blessings without burden.

00:04:34.865 --> 00:04:38.358
We want revival, as long as it doesn't interrupt our schedule.

00:04:38.358 --> 00:04:53.086
But community outreach forces you to die to self, because you'll be stretched, you'll be uncomfortable, you'll encounter rejection, you'll face hard stories, you'll give up a Saturday or two.

00:04:53.086 --> 00:05:01.879
And that's the point, because when you serve the broken, you start to look like Jesus.

00:05:01.899 --> 00:05:09.543
Philippians 2, verse 4 and 5 says Don't look out for only your own interest, but take an interest in others too.

00:05:09.543 --> 00:05:13.105
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

00:05:13.105 --> 00:05:15.865
Well, what was his attitude?

00:05:15.865 --> 00:05:20.182
He left heaven, let that sink in.

00:05:20.182 --> 00:05:29.990
He left perfection to walk among pain, and we're out here making excuses for why we can't knock on a door.

00:05:29.990 --> 00:05:32.615
He left perfection to walk among pain, and we're out here making excuses for why we can't knock on a door.

00:05:32.615 --> 00:05:35.514
And we're not doing it because it's just kindness.

00:05:35.514 --> 00:05:37.358
This is warfare.

00:05:37.358 --> 00:05:50.394
When you show up in your community with the love of Jesus, you're invading the enemy's territory no-transcript.

00:05:50.394 --> 00:06:00.384
But when you bring light into that darkness, even with something as simple as a meal or a hug, or a ride or a gospel tract, chains start to break.

00:06:00.384 --> 00:06:13.822
2 Corinthians 10.4 says we use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down strongholds, and sometimes outreach is that weapon?

00:06:13.822 --> 00:06:14.526
It's not glamorous.

00:06:14.526 --> 00:06:22.377
It's not glamorous, it's not always supposed to be posted on Instagram, but it's where the battle's won.

00:06:24.449 --> 00:06:30.980
Jesus said in Matthew 9, 37 and 38, the harvest is great, but the workers are few.

00:06:30.980 --> 00:06:36.076
So pray to the Lord and ask him to send more workers into his fields.

00:06:36.076 --> 00:06:42.975
Friends, he's not talking about pastors, he's talking about you.

00:06:42.975 --> 00:06:46.875
You have a mouth you can speak.

00:06:46.875 --> 00:06:49.898
You have hands you can serve.

00:06:49.898 --> 00:06:53.819
You have a story you can testify.

00:06:53.819 --> 00:07:00.151
You have a story you can testify.

00:07:00.172 --> 00:07:02.598
And if you're listening to this podcast, chances are you feel the urgency too.

00:07:02.598 --> 00:07:05.805
The time is short, the hour is late and the harvest is waiting.

00:07:05.805 --> 00:07:09.031
Are you going to go Now?

00:07:09.031 --> 00:07:11.495
Don't get me wrong, don't misunderstand me.

00:07:11.495 --> 00:07:13.338
This isn't a pep talk.

00:07:13.338 --> 00:07:19.434
What you're listening to is a call to repentance, because if we've ignored the lost.

00:07:19.434 --> 00:07:25.935
If we've made church all about us, we're wrong and it's time to change.

00:07:27.269 --> 00:07:29.899
Jesus didn't sit back, he moved.

00:07:29.899 --> 00:07:45.668
He walked into villages, he touched lepers, he fed crowds, he sat with sinners, and if we say we're following him, we better be walking in his steps.

00:07:45.668 --> 00:07:52.244
So here's a challenge for you this week stop scrolling, stop overthinking it and do something.

00:07:52.244 --> 00:07:57.939
Knock on a neighbor's door, feed somebody that's hungry.

00:07:57.939 --> 00:08:07.084
Volunteer at a shelter, take your small group into the streets, share your testimony with somebody who needs it.

00:08:07.084 --> 00:08:21.055
Pray for your city and then go serve your city, because in the end times, the church that goes out is the church that's truly on fire, and the gates of hell can't stop that.

00:08:21.055 --> 00:08:26.024
Thank you so much for joining me today on Renewed Mindsets.

00:08:26.024 --> 00:08:29.237
Don't let this just be a word you heard.

00:08:29.237 --> 00:08:31.665
Let it be a fire that you carry.

00:08:31.665 --> 00:08:38.556
And remember the church isn't just a building, it's you, and you've got a job to do.

00:08:38.556 --> 00:08:44.802
So, until next time, stay awake, stay armored and stay faithful.

00:08:44.802 --> 00:08:50.096
We're not just preparing for the end times, we are walking in them.

00:09:05.789 --> 00:09:08.192
The time to wake up is now.
