We're not called merely to react as the world reacts, not to be driven by fear or rage, but to discern what is true, to stand in love and to walk in truth.

Now I believe what God wants from us in times like this is a renewed mindset, a mind shaped by Christ, not by outrage, not by political identity first, but by the gospel.

And we need to ask is Charlie Kirk a martyr and how do we move forward in this as people who follow Jesus?

Okay, on September 10th 2025, charlie Kirk was shot while speaking at a Turning Point USA event the American Comeback Tour at Utah Valley University.

Now that's from the media, we don't know exactly.

Now, alongside this, there's been brisk spread of information, misinformation, misidentifications, false accusations, allegations about party affiliations, even conspiracy theories that implicate foreign governments.

We do not yet have full clarity on motive, on whether Christian faith was the direct reason, or if politics alone, or ideology or something else, and that matters deeply for how we think biblically about martyrdom, because people are saying that Charlie Kirk is a martyr.

So before we answer if he was a martyr, we need to clarify what martyr means.

Now that public witness might include convictions, he could be seen as exercising his duty to speak truth regardless of cost If somebody dies while doing that, that has parallels to a testimony, but the complications are many Because there's some arguments against calling him a martyr or at least exercising caution.
